To upgrade your tongue in Tongue Escape, check the Tongue menu, find the currency and cost for the next available option, then approach its platform in the lobby and confirm the purchase. Check which tongue is equipped afterward. Blueberry is the first listed Wins upgrade at 1 Win; Blue Beam is a separate Robux option. Use your current menu for purchase conditions.
Known tongue costs and displayed bonuses
The 3 October 2026 catalog lists these 15 tongues. Prices and +Tongue values are dated upgrade labels. Check the current offer before spending, especially when a locked entry or a newer tongue appears in your menu.
| Tongue | Listed cost | Displayed bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Default | Free | +1 Tongue |
| Blueberry | 1 Win | +2 Tongue |
| Gummy | 5 Wins | +3 Tongue |
| Slime | 10 Wins | +4 Tongue |
| Emerald | 25 Wins | +5 Tongue |
| Ruby | 50 Wins | +6 Tongue |
| Crystal | 100 Wins | +8 Tongue |
| Lava | 250 Wins | +10 Tongue |
| Fire | 600 Wins | +13 Tongue |
| Lightning | 1,200 Wins | +16 Tongue |
| Golden | 2,500 Wins | +21 Tongue |
| Galaxy | 5,000 Wins | +26 Tongue |
| Void | 10,000 Wins | +36 Tongue |
| Futuristic | 20,000 Wins | +46 Tongue |
| Blue Beam | 399 Robux | +51 Tongue |
Default requires no purchase. The listed Wins options run from Blueberry through Futuristic. Blue Beam uses Robux, so saving Wins toward its number will not pay for that offer. Some older guides call it Blue Bean; check the Blue Beam name in the game rather than looking for a second item with the alternate spelling.
Compare the displayed +Tongue values within the menu. They do not measure distance in studs, Tongue per second, or the time needed to reach a Level. A +51 label alone cannot tell you how fast an account with different equipment and rebirths will train.
Buy the next available Wins tongue
Start by reading your Wins balance beside the trophy icon. Total Tongue and Level show growth progress; neither is money for a Wins purchase. If you need more currency, complete a route you can already manage and claim its reward, then check the balance before returning to the shop.
Open the Tongue upgrade interface to find the item you want. In the lobby, approach that tongue's platform and step onto it to inspect the purchase prompt. Read its name, price, currency and any requirement. Confirm only when the prompt matches the upgrade you intended to buy.
The September 2026 Wins chain requires the preceding tongue before the next purchase. Blueberry comes before Gummy, and the sequence continues through Futuristic. Follow the lock condition in your current game. A large balance by itself does not establish that a later entry is available.
If Gummy is your next available upgrade, its dated price is 5 Wins. Reaching a balance of 5 meets that price; it does not pay for a separate upgrade you buy first. Recheck your remaining balance after each confirmation instead of counting the same Wins toward several purchases.
After buying, check the selected tongue and its appearance or equipped stats before leaving the platform. If your menu offers an equip option for an owned tongue, use it and check the selected item again.
Check growth after equipping
Return to a usable treadmill after changing tongues. On a keyboard, move onto the training position, press Space and watch Tongue or Level progress respond. Repeat the training input while staying at the usable position. Standing there alone does not complete the active training routine.
Keep your trainer, Trail, boosts and rebirth state unchanged when comparing the old tongue with the new one. Record Total Tongue before and after the same number of successful training inputs. Note the time as well if training speed matters to your choice. Use the result for that tested setup; it does not establish a fixed game formula.
Do not turn a progress response into an assumed whole Level per press. Read the actual Level display. If nothing changes, check keyboard focus, position and the trainer's requirement before blaming the purchase. The training guide explains how to compare progress without mixing input pace with equipment changes.
Try the same gap after training if reach was the reason for upgrading. Watch where the tongue tip ends. If it still falls short, you need more reach for that approach. If the tip reaches but your character falls, inspect the route and landing clearance before buying another growth item.
Set a budget for the next tier
Choose one purchase target using the current menu. Subtract your current Wins from its price, stopping at zero if you already have enough. With 3 Wins and a 5-Win Gummy target, the remaining price is 2 Wins, provided you meet its other purchase conditions.
Buying earlier tiers can change the total you still need. If you own Default and the current menu requires Blueberry before Gummy, the listed prices are 1 Win and then 5 Wins. That is 6 Wins across the two purchases, not a 5-Win combined price. Use the requirements you actually see rather than assuming every later tongue can be bought directly.
Higher prices also do not rise in the same proportion as the displayed bonuses. Void lists 10,000 Wins and +36 Tongue; Futuristic lists 20,000 and +46. The next listed price is twice as large, while the bonus label rises by 10. That comparison helps you size a savings target; it cannot establish a training rate or a guaranteed payback time.
Trails compete for the same Wins balance and have separate equipment. Their Points multipliers use another label. Decide which item you are saving for before spending, and avoid adding a Trail's Points number to a tongue's +Tongue value. For reward claims and a simple purchase budget, use the Wins guide.
Keep Blue Beam and Sky Tongue separate
Blue Beam Tongue [ OP ] appears in the official 15 October 2026 pass catalog at 399 Robux, pass ID 1948846071. The September 2026 purchase rules place Blue Beam outside the preceding Wins-tier chain. Inspect the current checkout before accepting.
Sky Tongue is another official pass, ID 2012774426, also listed at 399 Robux on that date. Its matching price does not make it Blue Beam. Sky's +Tongue value and specific effects are not established here. Check the item's own offer instead of assigning Blue Beam's +51 label to it.
A storefront label such as OP does not tell you which tongue performs best in your setup. Check newer entries in your own menu before treating a dated catalog as the complete collection. The game passes guide keeps the official paid identities and dated prices together if you need to compare offers.
If a tongue purchase does not work
| Problem | What to check | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot afford the tongue | Its currency and your current balance. | Claim Wins for a Wins item; inspect Robux checkout separately. |
| You have enough Wins but the item is locked | The displayed prerequisite and preceding tier. | Meet that condition before confirming the later upgrade. |
| You bought an item but see the old tongue | Ownership, selected tongue and any equip option. | Select the owned item and verify its appearance or stats. |
| Growth seems unchanged | Active equipment, trainer and successful training inputs. | Repeat a comparison with Space under matching conditions. |
| You see a large number in a video | Whether it is balance, price or a bonus. | Read your item's price; another player's 31k Wins is not Futuristic's cost. |
| A newer entry is missing from the dated table | Its own current name, currency and conditions. | Read that offer directly before applying an older tongue's values. |
