To train with a keyboard in Tongue Escape, walk onto a usable treadmill in the spawn lobby and press Space. Check that the Tongue or Level display responds, then repeat the training input as you work toward your target. Start with the free white starter treadmill; standing there without using the training control is not a complete training routine.
Start training with Space on a usable treadmill
Find the white starter treadmill in the spawn lobby and move your character onto its training position. With the game active, press Space and watch the training response. Repeat separate Space presses while keeping your character at the trainer. After a short group of inputs, check that the progress reading has changed.
Look at Total Tongue and the Level progress at the bottom of the screen. Check which reading changes when you train. A successful input should advance your training progress, but do not count every press as a whole Level: read the actual Level and progress display.
If a press produces no training response, first check your position and whether the game is receiving your keyboard input. Close a text entry or menu that is taking your input, then try again at the usable training position. If it still fails, read that pad's requirement before moving to another position you can already use.
These Space steps cover keyboard play. Confirm progress in the training display before leaving to attempt a crossing.
| Situation | Your next action | What confirms progress |
|---|---|---|
| You have reached the starter treadmill | Press Space at its training position, then repeat the input. | The Tongue or Level progress changes. |
| You are standing there without growth | Check the training input and game focus before changing pads. | A training input produces a visible response. |
| A pad shows a Rebirth requirement | Compare it with your completed rebirths. | You meet the condition and can actually train there. |
| A pad opens a Robux offer | Return to a usable free position if you want free training. | You can perform training and gain progress there. |
Check the requirement before changing pads
Read the label beside the trainer you want to use. A free pad with a Rebirth requirement and a paid trainer can both display a multiplier. The larger number or brighter color does not tell you whether your account has unlocked it.
Use the requirement in your own game. Do not plan around a rebirth count from another player's video: that account and your current offer may differ. Stay with a free position that accepts your training input while you work toward the next requirement.
Fast Train is a separate pass, and Blue Beam is a Tongue product. Neither name identifies the free starting pad. A product name or multiplier also cannot tell you how much your current account will gain from one training action.
Check equipment and keep the readings separate
Check which Tongue you are using before comparing results. To buy another, approach its lobby platform and read the price, currency and purchase conditions before confirming. Check your current equipment afterward, return to the same usable trainer, and repeat the test.
Trails have their own equipment step. Open Trails on the left, select the Trail, buy it if needed, and press Equip. Check the selected Trail when changing to another; owning it is not the same as having it active.
Keep the shop's bonus separate from your measured training result. A Trail's Points multiplier is not a measured Total Tongue rate. Record the equipment you used so an upgrade or changed Trail does not get mistaken for a difference between trainers.
| Reading | Use it for | Keep separate from |
|---|---|---|
| Total Tongue | Measuring Tongue gained during a controlled test. | Wins, prices and a Trail's Points label. |
| Level and its progress | Checking the Level required by a current offer. | An assumed fixed Tongue cost per Level. |
| Wins | Checking what you can afford. | The progress produced by a training input. |
| Rebirth Before / After | Reading your current multiplier and the offered result. | Treating the After preview as an upgrade already received. |
Compare training with the same inputs
For a simple comparison, record Total Tongue, make ten separate Space presses that each produce a training response, then record Total Tongue again. Ten is a convenient sample size, not a game requirement. Subtract the starting reading from the ending reading to find the gain for that batch.
Keep the Tongue, Trail, boosts and rebirth state unchanged. Repeat the same number of successful training actions on the other unlocked pad, using the same input method. Record the time each batch takes as well as its gain. This separates gain per action from how quickly you complete those actions.
If some presses produce no response, do not treat the raw keypress count as a completed training count. Recheck the input and position, then redo the sample. Comparing rapid inputs on one trainer with slower inputs on another does not isolate the trainer's effect.
For a waiting-time estimate, measure a session at an input pace you can maintain. Record Total Tongue, train with Space for 60 seconds, and read Total Tongue again. For this one-minute test, the difference is your measured Tongue gain per minute at that pace.
Avoid collecting gifts, redeeming codes or buying Tongue packs during a sample. Start again if a boost expires, equipment changes or you rebirth. Those changes would mix another cause into the result.
Use the same statistic for the current reading, target and rate. For example, with 100 Total Tongue, a target of 1,000, and a measured gain of 60 Tongue per minute, you need 900 more: about 15 minutes at that unchanged rate. These are example inputs, not the game's base growth rate.
That estimate requires you to maintain the measured training conditions, including your inputs. A zero gain gives no useful waiting estimate; fix the training problem first. Do not use a Tongue rate to predict a Level target without knowing the Tongue still needed for that Level.
Check whether progress continues without input
Before planning an unattended session, take another 60-second sample without pressing Space. Compare Total Tongue before and after, keeping equipment unchanged and avoiding reward claims. If the reading stays unchanged over that interval, you have not continued gaining by standing there.
Resume the training input when you want to keep progressing. Do not carry the active-session rate into time when you are away from the keyboard. If your current setup does continue gaining without input, measure that condition separately instead of assuming it matches the rate of your Space session.
Check actual progress after returning. A disconnected Roblox session or sleeping device cannot supply the uninterrupted training time used in your estimate. Record the total before leaving and compare it with the reading when you return.
Choose a target and resume after rebirth
For a crossing, return to the same gap after training and check where the tongue tip ends. If it falls short of the landing, add reach before retrying. If the tip reaches but your character falls, inspect the path, body clearance and landing edge before spending another long session training.
For a rebirth, open Rebirth on the left and read the offer's Level requirement, current Before multiplier and reset warning. Train toward that displayed Level. Reopen the menu for each offer rather than assuming the next target is unchanged.
When you meet the requirement and decide to reset, choose the purple Rebirth button, keeping it separate from the blue paid Skip Rebirth offer. After confirmation, check that Level has dropped and the current Before multiplier or HUD bonus has increased. The After field remains a preview of the offered result.
Return to a usable treadmill and resume the Space training input. Recheck any pad you expected to unlock, confirm your equipment and measure again. Your old training rate should not be reused automatically after the reset.
If training is slow or nothing changes
| Problem | Check first | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| No growth while standing on a trainer | Whether you are performing the training input. | Press Space on the usable training position and watch for a response. |
| Space gives no training response | Position, keyboard focus and the pad's requirement. | Correct the input context, then test a known usable pad. |
| Training works but Wins stays unchanged | Whether you are expecting training progress to become Wins. | Use an available route reward or reward claim for Wins. |
| Two tests disagree | Input counts, pace, equipment, boosts and interruptions. | Repeat under matching conditions. |
| Progress stops while you are away | Whether it continued when you stopped pressing Space. | Use the rate for the condition you actually maintain. |
| A purchase seems ineffective | The active equipment and actual gain. | Retest on the same pad with the same inputs. |
Check usable free trainers and upgrades you can afford with Wins before spending. For a paid option, read the current offer and identify what it would change for your training. Compare your own results; an OP label gives you no measured rate.
